From Master Yin Shun‘s perspective, “although the teachings are varied, all are interconnected. The different teachings start at different places, but each arrives at the others.” ( From The Way to Buddhahood by Ven. Yin-Shun, Wisdom Publications, Boston 1998)

Thus, Bodhi Monastery’s programs are designed to promote the study and practice of the Dharma in it’s entirety. To that end, Master Jen Chun lectures on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays). English translations are provided at the Saturday lectures. In addition, special guest speakers are invited each year to share their insight and knowledge of Buddhism.

Bodhi Monastery is also involved in the translation of Chinese texts into English (such as the writings of both Master Yin-Shun and Master Jen-Chun). Other programs include meditation instruction.

To honor the great wisdom and compassion of the Buddha, liturgical services are also a part of Bodhi Monastery’s activities. In particular, the first Saturday of every month is dedicated to devotional practices and walking meditation.

In promoting charitable activities, Bodhi Monastery runs a food pantry weekly and provides clothing and emergency monetary assistance to the needy.
