I. About the Retreat

This one full day (9:00 am — 4:30 pm) program has been designed for those who have little or no meditation experience, even for those with experience in other types of meditation. During the course of the day, you will learn the basics of sitting postures and settling the body, and step-by-step instructions on how to calm and settle the mind by focusing our attention on breathing as an object of meditation. The retreat will also include a series of well-scheduled activities, including group sitting meditation, walking meditation, exercisingand Q & A sessions. Bodhi Monastery will provide a free vegetarian meal during lunch break.

The retreat will be led by the Abbot of Bodhi Monastery, Ven. Bhikkhu Guoching Shi.

II. Registration Note

  • We kindly ask that all meditation participants attend the entire retreat from start to finish. Please read the retreat general guidelines for details.

  • Retreat is free of charge. As a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt religious organization, however, we welcome your generous donation.  All donations are tax-deductible.
  • Retreat Check-in will start @ 8:30 am. and ending @ 4:00 pm.
