Chinese new year 2013Please bring your family and friends to join us in our annual Chinese Lunar New Year program at Bodhi Monastery. You are welcome to come and participate in any part of the program or in its entirety. In the morning starting from ten o’clock, we will have a special devotional service, a candlelight and chanting Buddha’s name (“Namo Ben-Shi Shi-Jia Mo-Ni Fo” which means paying homage to Sakyamuni Buddha). In the early afternoon, the Three Refuges and Five Precepts* will be administered for those who would like to take then follow a memory show of our monastery found, Masrer Renjun.

Lunch is usually eaten in silence at the monastery, but on this occasion we drop the rule of “Noble Silence” so that we can socialize. We look forward to seeing you.

** We welcome you to bring a dessert, fruit, your favorite goodies or…..to supplement the meal.
